I belong to the “general american” dialect. This is a really awesome site, and it ties into my linguistics class somewhat. Check it out!




This is cool! I’ve also just begun coming to grips with the fact that - after living here for 10 years - I’ve totally picked up a New Orleans accent. That’s on top of my northern-born propensity to talk really fast. When I get excited, they combine to form delicious SLUDGE.
